Matthew Comarato is a third generation chef with a lifelong passion for food. Having grown up in a kitchen, working alongside his father, he quickly learned that cooking was not only a skill, but a talent cultivated by love. With over 20 years in the industry, his deep appreciation for food is rooted in the southern Italian cuisine that has been the foundation of his family life for generations and the local flavors of the south, which he has called home for several decades. Matthew comes to The Lab in Birmingham excited to share his passion for bold flavors and his love for food with the local community.
