MEET OUR CHEF
Lorrin Rames hails from Kauai, Hawaii. As a young boy, he had to learn his way around the kitchen as he was responsible for feeding his 7 brothers and sisters while his parents worked full-time jobs. Lorrin's parents could not afford to send him to culinary school so, upon leaving Kauai for the mainland, Lorrin knew any further education in the culinary arts world would have to be through his own travels and experiences. A culinary career spanning 45 years (and counting), Lorrin has left his mark in many restaurants and hotels around the United States specializing (but not limited to) pacific-rim cuisine, Asian cuisine, and our favorite Southern Cuisine. Those that taught Lorrin along the way have left deep and profound memories. From this, Lorrin has found a new passion, teaching. Now, for Lorrin, while food is his job, teaching how to prepare food is his real passion.
